Demonstrator of Integrated Place Representations
Showcasing practical implementation of place-based walking systems
Showcasing practical implementation of place-based walking systems
The second month (November) will support the demonstration of a custom system integrating multiple datasets.
Through engagement with interested parties a basic demonstrator system will be designed to enable integrated representations of place.
This demonstrator will work with interested organisations to share the opportunities relating to integrated representations of place in leisure walking systems.
The comprehensive documentation developed through the LWSWG impact project serves as our primary demonstrator of integrated place representations within leisure walking systems. Rather than a single software prototype, we have created a knowledge resource that demonstrates how multiple approaches can be integrated effectively.
Our documentation demonstrates integration across multiple domains: recommendation systems connect with place representation frameworks, whilst geospatial data integration methods support user experience design principles. This integrated approach showcases how different components of walking systems can work together coherently.
The technical architecture and research methodology sections provide concrete guidance for organisations seeking to implement improved walking systems. These resources demonstrate practical approaches to the challenges identified through our research and stakeholder engagement.
Visit our Documentation section to explore the integrated framework we have developed. Each page demonstrates different aspects of place representation in walking systems, with practical guidance for implementation.
