The Leisure Walking Systems Working Group (LWSWG) seeks to organise an initial working group meeting to engage with the wider leisure walking systems community and capture new perspectives on the role of representing place in leisure walking. The LWSWG is formed from funding from the Horzion Center for Doctoral Training (Horizon CDT) at the University of Nottingham and will explore interest in the organisation of a working group for leisure walking systems.
The initial organisation of the group will look to focus on understanding the role of place-based (or platial) representation within leisure walking systems. Depending on interest during the initial meeting organisation, the group may continue to organise an ongoing series of meetings and discussions.
The initial organising group is based on the Horizon CDT impact grant and will seek to determine long-term interest in forming the LWSWG. Depending on this interest, the group will seek to explore organising meetings for discussion around leisure walking systems:
